Job Title: Technical Product Owner (SQL & Agile)

Location:Plano TX (Onsite)

w2/Fulltime

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Product Owner with a strong background in SQL and Agile methodologies to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams. This role involves gathering and refining business requirements, performing data profiling, writing basic SQL queries, and managing the delivery of data-related features through user stories. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand and document requirements.

Perform data profiling to validate and understand data sources, structures, and quality.

Write and execute basic SQL queries to support analysis and data validation.

Identify and define key data points needed for reporting, analytics, and business processes.

Create, refine, and maintain user stories and acceptance criteria in alignment with Agile best practices.

Act as the liaison between the business and technical teams, ensuring clarity and alignment on deliverables.

Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups to drive project progress.

Ensure deliverables meet business needs and are aligned with the product vision.

Monitor and report on project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Product Owner or Business/Data Analyst in an Agile environment.

Strong working knowledge of SQL for querying and validating data.

Experience in data profiling and understanding data quality metrics.

Ability to gather, analyze, and clearly document business requirements.

Skilled in writing user stories and managing a product backlog.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
