Kansas City MO

6 months C2H position.

JD:

Leads complex and strategic technology projects. Determines overall project strategy, coordinates, and communicates with project stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and drives project through execution to implementation. Leads and directs work of project team.

Essential Duties

Functions as project manager for technology projects, leveraging Agile, Waterfall or hybrid project management methodologies throughout the development cycle, including planning, design/development, testing and implementation phases.

Defines project objectives and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management, project team and project stakeholders.

Creates, executes and maintains all components of project plans.

Plans and schedules project deliverables, goals, and milestones.

Defines resources and schedule for project/program implementation..

Qualifications

BS/BA degree preferred or equivalent education and/or experience.

5 years project management work experience required.

Strong analytical skills.

Possesses good understanding in the areas of 1. application programming, database and system design (Application Development PM) or 2. infrastructure, networking, service desk, operations (Infra/Ops PM).

Both Waterfall and Agile (Kanban) experience

Strong and experienced in all the following: planning, stand-ups, removing constraints, resource capacity management, business/product owner engagement, WBS development, agile work-management tool (Azure DevOps, Jira, or like applications)

Strong technical acumen networking, hardware, connectivity (switches, SD-WAN, etc.), mobile device management (MDM), CMDB, asset lifecycle management, ITSM (policies, procedures, etc.), change management, etc.

Infrastructure/Ops/Networking project experience

Experience with the following technologies a plus: Intune, AutoPilot, SysAid, Citrix, OneDrive, O365 suite

Strong leadership skills (driving/guiding through collaboration as opposed to strong-arming )

Experience in articulating and documenting project management documentation.

Strong project management, time management, initiative and interpersonal skills.

Experience working independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Excellent at collaboration and relationship building.

Experience in coordinating functional testing.

Experience within the insurance and brokerage industry is a plus.

Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies.

Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and written.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Some off-shift support and travel may be required.
