Tyler Technologies, Inc. is looking for a Software Developer Analyst in Plano, TX to perform the following job duties:
Identify and documents business/technical specifications for specific software design/development solutions and is responsible for forms, reports, interfaces, process, configuration and other relevant changes. Collaborate with implementation, development, QA and support team members on software development projects. Perform moderately complex design, coding, testing (i.e. conducting unit testing, developing test plans and cases, creating test scripts, test documentation, etc.), debugging/addressing operational deficiencies, documenting, implementing and maintaining existing application programs and new programs per technical specifications and timelines. Modify, enhances, and unit tests existing and new software programs and features based on specific technical requirements and client needs. Responsible for documenting code changes and other issues. May involve documentation in Company ticket system. Assist support with project summaries and related documents; test plans/documents; important technical information in knowledge databases, etc. and with troubleshooting end-user application issues. Comply and/or collaborates with other team members to ensure version control guidelines to effectively move programs into production; responsible for developing/changing code per technical specifications. Participate in code, design, and test reviews. Specific projects may require different test strategies. Ensure functionally is appropriate, technically sound, and well-integrated into enterprise applications. Consult with clients and staff as a knowledge resource demonstrating comprehensive knowledge and understanding of division's software products/solutions and relevant industry/product knowledge to present software features, components, capabilities, and functionality to offer viable solutions/changes/etc. to meet client needs. Build, cultivates, and develops professional and trusting relationships with internal and external clients and managers. Identify, define, analyze, and document client business/workflow processes, data, and other systems of moderate complexity. Ask the right fact-finding questions to effectively and comprehensively understand client's business needs, work streams and process needs and to define the client's functional software requirements; performs gap analysis; compares client requirements to software capabilities; identifies and documents any software, system and/or database issues/constraints and recommends changes/options to appropriate parties to meet client needs. Perform data mapping and data conversions and resolves discrepancies of moderate complexity. Perform demonstrations/end-to-end training and provides documentation to clients and other internal/external groups including technical and non-technical audiences on the software solution. Write moderately complex queries and custom reports for clients as needed. Identify and documents business/technical specifications for specific software design/development solutions and is responsible for forms, reports, interfaces, process, configuration and other relevant changes. Must work in the office at least two days each per week; may work remotely up to three days per week within the same MSA as the worksite. The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Technologies - Information Assurance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or a foreign equivalent and 2 years of experience as Software Developer or similar occupation in which relevant skills gained. This position requires 2 years of experience in each of the following: .Net, C#, XML/XSD/XSL, HTML, JavaScript and/or related technologies.
