Position: Senior Workday HCM Consultant - Hybrid

Location: 2450 N St NW, Washington, DC 20037

Duration: 9 months contract with higher extension possibilities

Shift: 1st Shift

Position Description:

The Planning, Governance, and Innovation department in Technology Services of the Division of Management propose to engage a Contractor to provide support for Workday. The Contractor will deliver expertise in the HCM Module within Workday, supporting planning, implementation, configuration, design, deployment, and testing of Workday Feature Releases, occurring twice annually. Additionally, the resource will assist with operational tasks including backlog support and critical operational issues.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in implementing and configuring Workday solutions, designing, configuring, testing, and deploying business requirements across multiple Workday modules.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday configurations.
  • At least 7 years of experience assessing, implementing, and testing Workday Feature Releases, enhancements, updates.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for test and change-related documentation.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle several complex assignments simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • 7 years of enterprise resource planning (ERP), Workday HCM upgrade experience.
  • 7 years of industry knowledge in HCM Administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the Board's ERP architecture and Workday integration within the system.
  • Assist with planning and executing regression testing for each Workday Feature Release.
  • Support Workday scrum teams and conduct peer reviews on changes made by developers.
  • Assist in providing support as needed with design, build, and test.
  • Provide insights to functional areas from product and industry knowledge.
  • Review implementation of defined processes for Workday, record findings, and make recommendations for changes.
  • Provide support for operational defects or errors and assist with remediation.
  • Support transition to automated testing solution once identified.
  • Thoroughly assess all existing Workday configuration and artifacts, document findings, and provide recommendations.
  • Develop action plans and help implement capabilities to improve Workday Feature Release management.
  • Provide assessment and impact analysis of Workday feature releases relevant to the Board's configuration.
  • Support operational issues and enhancements to Workday.

Interview Process:

  • Selected candidates will participate in a phone screening, followed by potential in-person interviews. Video conference tools may be used in accordance with agency guidelines.
