Business Systems Analyst
Key Responsibilities:
- Meeting with stakeholders from various departments to understand business problems, needs, and goals.
- Collecting, auditing, analyzing, and interpreting data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions that may include new products, services, workflows, or technical programs.
- Creating detailed business analyses, requirements documents, process flows, user stories, and reports for stakeholders.
- Translating complex business and technical concepts into clear, understandable language for both business and technical teams.
- Identifying and recommending ways to optimize business processes, systems, and services to increase efficiency.
- Supporting the implementation of proposed solutions and monitoring their performance to ensure they meet objectives.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, and conduct in-depth research.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial for explaining findings and coordinating with stakeholders.
- Translate operational requirements into functional specifications
- Knowledge of data modeling, data analytics, and business process management
- Ability to identify root causes of business issues and develop effective, actionable solutions.
- Meticulous attention to detail is necessary to ensure data accuracy and thorough documentation.
- A working knowledge of relevant business management principles and the ability to apply them to commercial sales planning.
- Five or more years of experience in analytics and systems development
- Proven analytical abilities
- Experience in generating process documentation and reports
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Preferred skills and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in information technology or computer science
- Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Visio (or Mirro)
- Proven ability to manage user testing
- High proficiency in technical writing
