Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented and experienced Senior Systems Integration Engineer to join our team. A successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, integrating, and managing a pre-production environment for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (CBRND) software applications and associated hardware. This role requires a strong background in systems administration, with a focus on deploying software systems in hybrid-cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of containerization and virtualization technologies, network administration, information assurance, and cybersecurity best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing, building, and manage a pre-production environment for CBRND software applications and associated hardware.
  • Integrating various software and hardware systems and ensure seamless operation in a hybrid-cloud environment.
  • Implement and manage containerization and virtualization technologies to optimize system performance and scalability.
  • Perform network administration tasks, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with information assurance and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve system integration processes.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in systems integration, systems administration, or a related role.
  • Strong background in hybrid-cloud environments, including experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.
  • Solid understanding of network administration, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
  • Knowledge of information assurance and cybersecurity best practices, including risk management frameworks and compliance standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)) are a plus.
  • Strong Gitlab and GitOps experience (automation with tools like Ansible and Terraform)

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • Experience with CBRND software applications or related defense industry experience.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Salary Range: $100,900.00 - $176,600.00
