Description
We are looking for an experienced IT Technician to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will provide comprehensive desktop support and assist with hardware and software maintenance across various systems. You will collaborate with teams to ensure seamless operations while adhering to company policies and ensuring a secure IT environment.
Responsibilities:
Resolve help desk tickets by troubleshooting computer and peripheral issues and providing necessary repairs or replacements.
Travel to store locations or connect remotely to address technical concerns and provide timely support.
Install, operate, and maintain IT equipment, ensuring optimal performance of desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
Deploy and configure new computer systems, install software, and facilitate handoffs to store teams.
Perform regular testing of computer programs to identify security vulnerabilities and ensure maximum protection.
Terminate, label, and pull Cat 6 Ethernet cables through designated areas, including drop ceilings and counters.
Identify technology needs and propose recommendations to the Director of IT for enhancements.
Enforce IT policies and procedures based on security guidelines and corporate standards.
Manage department spending in alignment with budget strategies and seek purchasing discounts.
Participate in an on-call rotation every third week, providing support as needed.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support or a related field.
Proficiency in PC desktop workstation operations and maintenance.
Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Windows Server.
Hands-on experience with Windows 10 and desktop imaging.
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and terminals.
Skilled in cabling, including network and Ethernet installations.
Competence in mobile device support and troubleshooting.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adhere to on-call schedules.
