Within this team, the Targeting Analytics Program develops data-driven products focused on Credit Risk, Portfolio Optimization, and Ad Insights. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in building scalable, high-performance data solutions that power critical business capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead scoping, design, and implementation of complex data features.
  • Build and maintain scalable analytics and data models.
  • Develop intuitive, responsive UIs for data visualization.
  • Deliver performant, well-tested, and production-ready code.
  • Mentor junior engineers and drive improvements to development processes.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and cross-functional teams to define and build new modules and features.
  • Collaborate within the Enterprise Credit Risk program and Software Engineering Guild.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of full stack/data engineering experience.
  • High proficiency with:
    • Spark, Hadoop tools (Hive, Impala, NiFi, Oozie, Sqoop)
    • Databricks
    • Python & SQL
  • Experience deploying production-level data pipelines/workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of data ingestion, feature engineering, modeling, and monitoring.
  • Familiarity with Java/Scala and big data frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.

Desired Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with Splunk or monitoring/alerting solutions.
  • Proficiency with Git, Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of machine learning systems and advanced analytics.

Additional Details

  • Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (no OT expected).
  • Interview Process: 3 rounds via Microsoft Teams.
  • Access Required: Network & Badge.
  • Onsite Expectation: Hybrid (3 days/week in Arlington, VA office).
  • Extension/Conversion: Likely extension beyond initial 6 months.
