Accepting local candidates within 90-minute drive of Lansing, MI ONLY. Position will be Hybrid, in office 2 days a week upon start and there is NO REMOTE ONLY option.
Specific Tasks:
Database Design and Implementation: Assisting in the design and implementation of new databases, including schema design, and creating database objects like tables, views, and stored procedures.
High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Implementing solutions like Always On Availability Groups or clustering for high availability and disaster recovery.
Capacity Planning: Monitoring database growth trends and planning for future capacity needs.
Automation: Developing and maintaining scripts for automating routine database tasks.
Patch Management: Applying SQL Server patches and updates to keep the system secure and up-to-date.
Security Auditing and Compliance: Ensuring the database environment adheres to security policies and regulations.
Reporting: Generating reports and visualizations related to database performance and usage.
