Job Description

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Milford, Michigan or Warren, Michigan three times per week, at minimum.

The Role:

This role centers on driving the strategic vision, development, and cross-functional integration of the Testable Functionality Rollout Plan(TFRP) across General Motors. The successful candidate will architect robust connections between TFRP and all related platforms, while fostering adoption and alignment with global tools, engineering processes, and organizational objectives.

This role champions the evolution and implementation of the Testable Functionality Rollout Plan (TFRP)-guiding its vision, advancing technological integrations, and embedding it across all engineering processes. The position demands both strategic foresight and hands-on execution, with a cross-functional influence spanning Mechatronics, Compute platforms, calibration, and Program/ Product and Engineering management.

The ideal candidate leads with innovation, technical agility, and systems thinking, driving adoption of TFRP across engineering disciplines while connecting the dots between tools, platforms, and product architectures.

What You'll Do (Job Responsibilities):
  • Manage and maintain the vision for TFRP
  • Deliver TFRP Dashboard Requirements and Enhancements
  • Develop integration of TFRP with VFRP and DVUL
  • Integrate of TFRP with ETM/BTS test execution processes.
  • Manage Optimus test data integration into the TFRP
  • Develop Vehicle based automated Walk-back Plans based on Systems Engineering Framework
  • Manage Process for capturing Feature to System to Solution Function Linkages from Rhapsody
  • Integrate Mech Infra content and function-based test results
  • Support TFRP adjacent Initiatives such as CoSIM development, Hybrid TFRP Lite, Outsourced Functions, Hardware Functions and more.
  • Deliver Methodology for TFRP to account for Program Variation
  • Be Voice of the TFRP outside of Mechatronics such as Infotainment, ADAS, Tools, Calibration, Global System Engineering and associated Product and Program Management
  • Align PMO JIRA Align Process with TFRP Features
  • Align PAR Objectives with TFRP Features
  • Align Product Taxonomy with TFRP
  • Manage Process Development for Infotainment and ADAS Systems Engineering TFRP Adoption
  • Manage Process Development for TFRP Function alignment with DNG requirements
  • Manage Process Development for TFRP Function alignment with Safety / DVUL

Additional Job Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
  • BSE, BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science
  • 7+ years of experience in Systems Engineering and Vehicle Development Cycle
  • Highly proficient at analyzing unusual and complex issues while driving for results in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational agility, collaborative spirit, and interpersonal skills to influence effectively across all levels of a large organization
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to plan, prioritize work, set deadlines, and execute the plan to meet business objectives on time with quality
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of interpersonal skill to work effectively with people in other functions and regions.


What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Master's or PhD Degree in Systems Engineering or CE/CS Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in Systems Engineering and Vehicle Development Cycle
  • Knowledge of architecture patterns and service-oriented architecture
  • Knowledge in safety related system design
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and simulation/emulation methods for software-in-loop, model-in-loop and virtualization methodology
