Required
- Education
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering or similar technical degree
- Experience
0 - 5 years of relevant experience
Applicants without the stated preferred degree, but with significant additional related experience may be considered
- Education
Master's Degree in Business, Engineering or a related field or prior internship/fellowship experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Licenses and Certifications
Green Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma or equivalent Upon Hire
- Leads and facilitates process improvement teams utilizing a standard data driven approach such as Lean Six Sigma, A3, or PDSA.
- Applies mathematical and engineering principles to the degree required to perform the job based on job requirements.
- Helps to devise efficient systems that integrate workers, machines, materials, information, and energy to make a product or provide a service for the health system.
- Utilizes continuous improvement tools such as process mapping, data collection, system analysis, problem solving, testing solutions, implementation, and control planning and tracking.
- Guides labor management processes / workload analysis / productivity monitoring and collaborates with multidisciplinary process improvement teams.
- Helps establish project success measures, techniques to gather data, and use of appropriate statistical tools.
- Utilizes Continuous Improvement and project management tools in their projects to analyze processes and eliminate wastes and defects.
- Helps develop and foster a culture of Continuous Improvement and Lean Six Sigma, under mentorship from a more experienced Management Engineer or Lean Six Sigma Specialist.
- Collects, interprets, and analyzes data and makes recommendations or changes for improvement; interprets data for the purpose of determining past performance and/or to project probability of desired outcomes in support of organizational efforts.
- Researches evidence-based practices to guide information discovery, including internal and industry benchmarks to analyze trends, and offers recommendations to enable effective decision making for stakeholders.
- Executes workplan tasks as assigned.
- May perform project management activities that include project team development and success.
- Safeguards the integrity and security of institutional data.
- Expands knowledge of Continuous Improvement, Lean Six Sigma tools, Statistical Process Control technology, and Artificial Intelligence.
- Utilizes Continuous Improvement and Lean Six Sigma and project management tools in their projects to analyze processes and eliminate waste, defects and reduce process variation.
- Collaborates and supports a performance excellence culture.
- Supports patient safety concepts, methods, and high-reliability principles.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
