STAND 8 provides end to end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States and with offices in Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, and more including internationally in Mexico and India.
We are seeking a highly organized and strategic IT Asset Management Program Manager to lead the development and standardization of infrastructure asset lifecycle policies and oversee the review and update of technical specifications. This role is ideal for someone with deep experience in IT asset management, infrastructure, and policy creation, who is capable of working independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive documentation that aligns with operational, compliance, and technical standards.
Responsibilities
Define and document standardized procedures across the asset lifecycle:
Procurement: Approval processes, asset tagging, and procurement logging.
Receiving & Warehousing: Inspection, storage protocols, inventory updates, and vendor handoffs.
Deployment & Distribution: Staging, transfer documentation, and user confirmation.
Ongoing Monitoring: Asset tracking methods, audit cycles, and incident protocols.
Maintenance & Support: Update procedures, repair workflows, and escalation processes.
Decommissioning & Disposal: Secure data destruction, regulatory compliance, and inventory system removal.
Reporting Framework
Develop dashboards and reporting templates for inventory status, lifecycle stages, and incident tracking.
Tools & Templates
Recommend systems (e.g., CMDB, spreadsheets).
Provide templates for:
Asset intake and transfer
Chain-of-custody
Inventory checklists
Audit logs
Assumptions
Stakeholder collaboration and timely feedback will be facilitated.
Out of Scope
Tool implementation or ongoing support services.

Specification Management
Review and identify outdated information across Division 27 & 28 specifications.
Consult stakeholders for input and revise documents to meet current standards and regulations.
Maintain consistent document formatting, diagrams, and revision tracking.
Change Management
Conduct internal reviews, validate with business and technical stakeholders, and finalize documentation.
Communicate changes across departments and provide support/training as needed.
Monitor implementation and iterate based on feedback.
Specifications Covered Include (but not limited to):
Structured cabling
Public address and communication systems
Access control, intrusion detection, and surveillance
Fire and carbon monoxide detection
Emerging systems such as vape detection, e-sports labs, and mass notification
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT asset management, infrastructure policy creation, or technical documentation.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure hardware/software lifecycles and best practices.
- Experience working with enterprise asset tracking tools and inventory management systems.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Familiarity with telecommunications and security system specifications (preferred).
Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $90-100/per hour, depending on experience.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered.
