Job Title: Sr Software Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA (Weekly 3 times)
Job Type: 6 Months contract

Description: As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work collaboratively within a cross-functional Agile team to design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications. Your work will span backend services, frontend user interfaces, and integrations with internal systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a mindset of continuous improvement, and a passion for mentoring and guiding team members. You ll play a key role in shaping the system architecture, encouraging a culture of experimentation, and driving delivery excellence.
Your Role:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to plan, develop, and deliver high-quality technical solutions within sprint timelines, ensuring alignment with project goals and business requirements.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, diagnosing and resolving production issues with a sense of urgency and commitment to service reliability.
  • Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and support to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering growth and knowledge-sharing within the team.
  • Actively contributes to a culture of innovation by sharing best practices, proposing improvements, and encouraging open communication and collaboration across teams.
  • Experience identifying and testing new approaches, tools, or solutions to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated success building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with cross-functional business stakeholders.
  • History of taking product ownership or accountability for business outcomes, showing a clear understanding of stakeholder responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with or experience participating in test-driven development environments or cultures that prioritize iterative testing and feedback loops.
  • Working knowledge of Agile or Lean principles, with hands-on experience in Agile ceremonies and delivery cycles preferred.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in a related discipline and 4 years experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master s degree and 2 years experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 8 years experience in a related field
  • Proficiency with Java stack: Maven, Spring Boot, Junit or other testing tools, JMeter or other load testing tools, along with key libraries for building REST or GraphQL databases and authentication protocols.
  • Proficiency with JavaScript stack: JavaScript, TypeScript, a component library system, React preferred, VSCode and related tooling.
  • Proficiency with development tools and deployment pipelines: git, GitHub Enterprise or similar, unit testing, integration testing, load testing, curl, postman, Terraform, Cloud Formation, or similar, ability to troubleshoot all components in an enterprise API deployment from DNS on up, containers.
  • Cloud experience (AWS preferred, Google Cloud Platform, Azure): Use of automated provisioning tools, account management, serverless tooling, API creation, deployment, load balancing, and security practices.
  • Database experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server or Oracle and NoSQL databases such as Document DB, DynamoDB or Cassandra.
  • Experience with AI tools and an understanding of their operation, benefits and current drawbacks.
