Title: Application Support Engineer
Location: Remote (US)

Mandatory skills
- Strong experience in Java-based application support.
- Proficiency in SQL, with hands-on experience in MariaDB/MySQL or Oracle.
- Solid understanding of Windows Server administration.
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls).
- Exposure to healthcare IT systems, especially PACS, RIS, DICOM, and HL7 standards.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong documentation and communication abilities
As an Application Support Engineer you will provide expert-level support for Java-based healthcare applications, ensuring seamless performance across databases, Windows servers, and imaging systems like PACS and RIS.
Responsibilities: -
- Provide advanced support for Java-based applications, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor and optimize performance of MariaDB/MySQL databases; manage replication and backup strategies.
- Administer and maintain Windows servers, ensuring system security and stability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve networking issues related to TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and firewalls.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, deployments, and support procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the alignment of technical solutions with business needs.
- Support healthcare IT systems, particularly Radiology and Imaging platforms (PACS, RIS).
- Ensure compliance with HL7 and DICOM standards in healthcare data exchange.
Good to have skills: -
- Experience with Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
- Familiarity with authentication processes and ITIL-based support workflows.
- Knowledge of cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS) for application hosting and support.
- Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation of routine tasks.
- Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., HIPAA compliance).
