Job Details

Harlem Hospital Center has been a bedrock of the Harlem community since 1887. The hospital provides a wide range of medical, surgical, diagnostic, therapeutic and family support services to the residents of Central Harlem, West Harlem, Washington Heights and Inwood. Harlem is the largest hospital in the area, capable of treating the most seriously ill. Harlem provides over 90 specialized ambulatory care services, dentistry and oral surgery, behavioral health services, and community substance abuse treatment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Medical Information officer for Harlem Hospital the Analytics Developer will be in the Department of Clinical Informatics and Analytics.

The Analytics Developer will primarily be responsible for developing more advanced clinical analytics deliverables typically utilizing SQL (Snowflake) and Tableau. They will be an integral part of the Harlem Analytics core whose purpose is to plan, build and deliver the necessary data, reports and visualizations needed by Harlem.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and develop dashboards utilizing Tableau or other Business Intelligence tools
Extract and query data from Snowflake SQL
Validate data to ensure accuracy and consistency in data sets
Perform analysis on data sets to identify trends, insights and areas for performance improvement
Propose and present actionable data solutions to enhance decision-making and performance
Collaborate with business and technical teams to translates requirements into effective data solutions
Work with Epic data for reporting and data extraction
Support the development of advanced data models, forecasting models, and research analytics

Minimum Qualifications
Proficiency and experience in SQL
Ability to gather and define requirements, ensuring alignment with business needs
Proficiency in data analysis and data validation techniques
Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools
Experience in presenting data-driven solutions and insights to various stakeholders
Experience in healthcare analytics and Epic preferred

Additional Qualifications

Education:
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science/Analytics, Health Informatics or similar
Masters degree or at least 5 years prior experience in analytics or data sciences.
