Overall Fit

They want a seasoned, strategic recruiter or sourcing expert (10+ years’ experience) who combines deep market intelligence, mapping ability, and pipeline-building expertise with a strong understanding of marketing and consumer products — ideally with a Disney Consumer Products-type background.

 

The role needs a senior-level sourcer/researcher who:

  • Builds pipelines
  • Finds passive candidates
  • Executes Boolean searches
  • Supports marketing searches
  • Works with recruiters

Key Intake Notes

  • Team Overview:
    Oversees a small team of recruiters and researchers supporting Chief Marketing Officers, G&A, and content-adjacent positions.
  • Focus Areas:
    • Primary need: Marketing (especially consumer products).
    • Growth expected in 2026 across ads and marketing-adjacent functions.
    • Bonus if candidate has consumer product knowledge — Disney Consumer Products is the “perfect” background.
  • Role Purpose:
    • Position is open to cover team growth and an upcoming leave.
    • Looking for someone seasoned in sourcing and research, ideally with 10+ years of experience.
  • Work Model:
    • Team is distributed (NY, some in LA, some remote).
    • Preference: Onsite in Los Angeles 2–3 days/week.
    • Flexibility: Fully remote possible for an exceptional candidate.
  • Team Culture:
    • Described as a fun and delightful team environment.
  • Role Scope & Expectations:
    • Team is “research light” — looking for someone strong in mapping, market intelligence, and pipeline development.
    • Preference for candidates with full-cycle recruiting experience, as they understand both the sourcing and closing sides.
    • Ideal candidate knows how to identify when a source is exhausted and pivot effectively.
  • Preferred Background:
    • Experience in entertainment marketing or consumer products.
    • Avoid agency-only profiles — stronger success with in-house backgrounds.
  • Tools & Systems:
    • Eightfold experience is a plus (not mandatory).
    • Also uses Airtable and Google Suite.
  • Pipeline & Handoff:
    • Some existing pipelines, but the new hire will also build from scratch.
    • Current team member departs March 1, allowing for crossover and training time.
  • Conversion Potential:
    • Conversion is unlikely — several existing contractors would be prioritized first.

Our Talent Acquisition team is seeking a Recruiting Researcher to assist with searches within the Marketing department.
The Recruiting Researcher will source and screen candidates across a variety of pipelines and partner closely with members of the TA team.

Responsibilities:
Partner with recruiters and recruiting researchers to understand specific needs to attract and engage with top talent.
In partnership with a recruiter and/or recruiting researcher, you will determine appropriate ways to develop and build talent pipelines.
Help generate diverse pipelines and identify candidates who can enhance the company's ability to entertain the world.
Find, engage, and activate passive candidates through the use of Boolean, LinkedIn, and alternative search techniques. Additionally, you'll provide inbound sourcing support for roles with a high volume of applicants or similar candidate profiles.
Assess or screen candidates through a consistent and structured review process.

Desired Profile & Qualifications:
10+ years of Talent Acquisition experience.
Proven success in developing strong talent pipelines across a variety of corporate functions (e.g., legal, marketing, communications, public policy/ global affairs).
Self-motivated and driven; you look for solutions and impact, without being asked twice.
Curious; you look to dig deeper beyond the surface level of a job profile researching market trends, domain technology, and seek out information to have a solid understanding of the business.
You ask for feedback, and want to grow and develop in your career.
Accustomed to multitasking, meeting multiple deadlines, and maintaining data integrity.
You leverage data (qualitative and quantitative) to track your progress and to inform decisions.
