JOB SUMMARY:

The Principal Consultant is a senior delivery and capability leadership role within SEINE CLIENT’S Americas Professional Services team.

 It is designed for highly experienced Maximo specialists who want to apply their skills to deliver outstanding client value, while coaching and mentoring others to uplift capability. 

Working closely with the Global Capability Lead in Australia, this position combines direct billable consulting (85% utilization) with leadership in solution design, project delivery excellence, and capability building.

 The role also provides thought leadership, ensures consistent methodology, and supports SEINE CLIENT’S reputation as a trusted partner in enterprise asset management transformation. 

 

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Maintain billable utilization at or above 85%. 

Delivery of projects on time, on budget, and to agreed quality standards. 

Positive client feedback and repeat engagement. 

Demonstrated uplift in capability and performance of coached team members. 

Employee engagement to required level 

Contribution to global capability initiatives and intellectual property development.

DELIVERABLES:

Client Delivery (85% Billable)

Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of IBM Maximo solutions to meet client business objectives. 

Provide strategic advice on enterprise asset management optimization through an integrated asset management information ecosystem. 

Facilitate workshops, requirements gathering, and solution demonstrations. 

Act as a trusted advisor to clients, including engagement with executive stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in. 

Oversee deployment, ensuring client satisfaction and alignment to agreed scope, quality, and timelines. 

Coaching & Capability Uplift 

Mentor and coach junior and mid-level consultants in technical delivery, solution design, and consulting excellence. 

Support onboarding of new Maximo consultants in the Americas team. 

Contribute to the development of reusable assets, templates, and tools to enhance delivery efficiency and quality. 

Collaboration with Global Capability Lead – Maximo 

Align regional delivery practices with global methodologies and standards. 

Share lessons learned, innovations, and client success stories across the global Maximo community. 

Participate in global capability development initiatives and knowledge-sharing forums. 

Solution Leadership & Thought Leadership:

Provide thought leadership on how to best architect and leverage Maximo to deliver operational and strategic outcomes. 

Tackle technically challenging environments, providing the “big picture” thinking to guide complex solution design. 

Produce comprehensive solution design documentation and specifications. 

Drive a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement in methodologies and tools. 

Business Development & Growth Contribution

Support pre-sales activities, including scoping, solution demonstrations, and proposal development. 

Identify opportunities for account growth through enhancements, modules, and support services. 

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Maximo product roadmap, emerging technologies, and industry trends. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related discipline (Master’s preferred). 

Extensive consulting experience in designing and implementing IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management solutions. 

Experience leading a team or project to deliver Maximo and related solutions. 

Strong understanding of asset management concepts, industry standards, and integration with other systems. 

Proven ability to mentor and coach others in both technical and consulting skills. 

Vendor certifications or relevant industry qualifications highly regarded. 

Experience in professional services or consulting environment preferred. 

Proven ability to maintain high billable utilization while managing operational responsibilities. 

Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. 

Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement capabilities. 

Strong time management and prioritization abilities. 

Commercial acumen and understanding of consulting engagement models.
