Manager, QA and Release Management

We are seeking an experienced and driven Manager, Quality Assurance and Release Management to join our innovative, fast-paced product and technology team. In this hands-on leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards across our software development lifecycle while owning and optimizing the end-to-end release process. You will manage a small, high-performing QA tester and automation engineering team and play a key role in both manual and automated testing efforts. From establishing best practices to executing testing strategies, your work will directly impact the stability, scalability, and overall success of our product releases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and grow a small team of QA professionals.
• Drive the development and execution of comprehensive testing strategies, including both manual and automated testing.
• Own the entire release lifecycle-from planning, scheduling, and coordinating releases to deployment and post-release validation.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth and timely releases.
• Identify opportunities to improve QA and release processes, tools, and workflows for greater efficiency and reliability.
• Maintain high-quality standards by implementing and tracking key performance indicators and quality metrics.
• 24-7 monitoring and tracking of reported issues from various sources.

Qualifications

• 10+ Quality Control and Quality Management experience
• 5+ Years of experience with release management.
• Experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Auditing
• Experience standing up and managing test suite tools
• Experience coding automation tests and simulations with industry standard tools
• Experience working on large scale highly available customer facing web and mobile platforms(FE and BE)
• Extensive experience testing software and systems across AWS and other enterprise cloud platforms
• Extensive experience testing backend, data and front end systems
• Experience with Jira
• Ability to play both a hands on and upper management role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup like environment
• Experience in the ticketing or entertainment industry is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
