Title: Tech Engineering Manager

Location: New York, NY (Need Onsite day 1, hybrid 3 days from office)

Job Specification

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Tech Engineering Manager with a strong background in Python programming, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps. The ideal candidate will lead a talented engineering team, oversee the development of scalable data platforms, and drive innovation in our technology stack. Prior domain knowledge is a plus but can be developed through training experience in Risk Tech, Equities, Capital Markets, Fixed Income Trading, or Regulatory environments is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Architect, develop, and maintain robust, scalable data platforms and applications leveraging Python, AWS, Kubernetes, EC2, and DevOps best practices.
  • Drive automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code to improve deployment efficiency and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical strategies and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and best practices in cloud and data platform management.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating relevant innovations into the team s workflow.
  • Assist in resource planning, project management, and technical decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Strong programming experience in Python.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS services, especially EC2, and experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • Expertise in DevOps methodologies and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record in leading, mentoring, and managing engineering teams.
  • Data Platforms: Extensive knowledge of data platform architecture, data pipelines, and big data concepts.
  • Domain Knowledge: Highly desired familiarity with Risk Tech, Equities, Capital Markets, Fixed Income Trading, or Regulatory environments.
  • Training support can be provided if missing.
  • Additional Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to design scalable and reliable technology solutions
