Job Details

Position: Data Engineer (Azure Cloud Focus)

We are currently seeking a Data Engineer to join a growing IT team supporting a wide range of business operations across the United States. This role offers the opportunity to design and build modern data pipelines and analytics solutions in a cloud-based environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for data ingestion, transformation, optimization, and building scalable solutions to support business intelligence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain data processing pipelines using Azure Data Factory and related services.

Perform data transformations using data flows and compute services within Azure.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize ETL processes for efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

Partner with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Write and maintain complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures for data extraction and reporting.

Assist in migrating data workflows and processes into Microsoft Fabric for enhanced data management.

Utilize Python, PySpark, or other programming languages for data engineering tasks.

Integrate systems and automate workflows using Azure Logic Apps, Azure Storage, and REST APIs.

Qualifications:

Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or a similar technical role.

Proficient in Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Analytics, and SQL Server.

Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and/or Scala.

Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric is a strong plus.

Solid understanding of data architecture, ETL best practices, and parallel processing.

Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams.

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Azure Logic Apps, Azure Storage solutions, and integration with REST APIs.

Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
