Job Details

We are in search of a talented OpenSearch Administrator to join our team! This Onsite position.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain an OpenSearch cluster.
  • Adjust OpenSearch settings based on operational usage.
  • Predict issues and implement necessary corrections based on operational metrics.
  • Perform backup operations for an OpenSearch cluster.
  • Manage accounts and permissions for OpenSearch clusters.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and tune performance.
  • Implement security controls required by Federal information systems.
  • Automate application deployments.
  • Develop with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Support development using Agile Scrum methodologies.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field plus a minimum of 10 years of related experience in software development.
  • Experience with Java software development on Linux-based systems.
  • Conceptual knowledge of practices and procedures within the field.
  • Excellent Elastic Search and Autonomy skills.
  • Experience in Elasticsearch stack, including architecture, design, and development with Kibana.
  • Familiarity with various database tools such as Oracle, PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of SAFe.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Official ElasticSearch certification.
  • Experience establishing proper security settings for OpenSearch/ElasticSearch clusters.
  • Familiarity with AWS permissions required for connections to OpenSearch/ElasticSearch.
  • Ability to scale and layout indices to meet performance goals.
  • Optimize OpenSearch/ElasticSearch configuration for required performance.
  • Provide ongoing operational and maintenance support for existing systems and applications developed using Elastic Search and Autonomy.
  • Ability to perform application bug fixes, report fixes, correction of business rules, and assist with scheduled Enterprise Architecture (EA) and infrastructure or software upgrades.
  • Provide technical support, capture new business requirements, and identify process improvements.
  • Team player willing to work under Senior Software Engineers.
