Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IDMC (Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud) Developer with deep expertise in Data Lineage, Data Cataloging, and Metadata Management. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level data lineage and catalog solutions to improve data visibility, compliance, and governance across systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement data lineage and catalog frameworks using Informatica IDMC / EDC (Enterprise Data Catalog).
- Develop and configure metadata scanners and connectors for various data sources (RDBMS, cloud, big data, ETL tools, etc.).
- Build and maintain data lineage visualizations and relationships between datasets, processes, and business entities.
- Collaborate with data governance, data engineering, and BI teams to ensure consistent metadata and lineage capture.
- Perform metadata enrichment, curation, and classification for improved searchability and compliance.
- Integrate data quality and stewardship components within IDMC for end-to-end visibility.
- Troubleshoot and optimize IDMC components for scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Implement role-based access controls and security for metadata assets.
- Document technical processes, lineage mappings, and catalog management standards.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of overall experience in data management, data engineering, or data governance domains.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Informatica IDMC, EDC (Enterprise Data Catalog), or Axon Data Governance.
- Strong understanding of metadata management, data lineage, and cataloging concepts.
- Expertise in SQL, relational databases, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Experience with ETL tools (Informatica PowerCenter, IICS, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of data modeling and data integration frameworks.
- Knowledge of API-based integration, Python scripting, or REST API for automation of catalog ingestion.
- Experience working with big data environments (Snowflake, Databricks, Hadoop, etc.) is a plus.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks (Collibra, Alation, or similar tools) is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have:
- Knowledge of data privacy and compliance standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
- Experience with workflow automation and custom lineage parser development.
- Exposure to machine learning metadata tracking and data observability tools.
Education:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Relevant Informatica certifications preferred
