Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sigma Reports Developer to join our growing Data & Analytics team. This role will focus on creating dynamic, real-time dashboards and reports using Sigma Computing, enabling business users to gain actionable insights from large datasets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business intelligence, SQL, and cloud data warehouses, with a passion for data storytelling and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Sigma Computing.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to understand data needs and translate them into meaningful visualizations.
- Leverage Sigma's live connection model for real-time data access and reporting.
- Optimize reports for performance, scalability, and usability, ensuring best practices in visual design and data storytelling.
- Work with Snowflake (or other cloud data platforms) to model and source data for Sigma reports.
- Manage governance and version control for Sigma assets including folder structures, user permissions, and documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data accuracy, performance, and user access.
- Provide training and support to end users for self-service reporting within Sigma.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or reporting roles.
- Proven hands-on experience with Sigma Computing (dashboards, datasets, templates).
- Proficiency in SQL and understanding of cloud-based data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
- Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional business teams.
- High degree of data literacy and a solid grasp of data visualization principles.
- Knowledge of cloud BI performance optimization best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other BI platforms (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
- Exposure to data modeling and collaboration with DBT or data engineering teams.
- Familiarity with data governance, security, and access control frameworks.
- Experience in Agile environments, using tools such as Jira, Confluence.
- Domain experience in finance, insurance, or healthcare is a plus.
