Job Title : Dev Ops
Location : Dallas TX
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a Service Engineer, you will lead the troubleshooting and resolution of platform issues affecting customer services on the Azure Cloud Platform. This includes diagnosing Azure Platform faults and mitigating service disruptions. You'll collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure swift resolutions, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and teamwork.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Possess a good understanding of the architecture of Azure Core components (Compute, storage, and network).
Configure and manage alerting workflows to ensure timely response and resolutions.
Respond promptly to alerts generated by monitoring systems, investigate root causes, and take appropriate actions to resolve or escalate issues in accordance with SLAs and best practices.
Analyze and correlate telemetry from Azure signals to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, providing insights and recommendations for optimization and troubleshooting.
Design, implement, and maintain monitoring solutions for all Azure services using Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, Application Insights, and other relevant tools and services.
Identify opportunities and implement automation to resolve and reduce live-site incidents.
Responsible for achieving agreed SLA targets
Understand customer needs and deliver great customer experience.
Author and maintain functional and technical documentation. Define and maintain processes and procedures for monitoring configurations, incident reports, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices.
Adapt to a diverse and changing environment
Ready to work on 24 x 7 support model (no constraints, no reservations).
Mentor new engineers to bring them up to speed in the site reliability area.
SKILLS
Must have skills:
Graduate in computer science or equivalent degree
5+ years of IT experience.
More than 3+ years of experience in enterprise level support for a large-scale international customer
Possess good knowledge of both Power BI and Kusto (Azure Data Explorer)
Hands on experience in programming concepts and scripting abilities, PowerShell or Python
A good knowledge of Power Automate related tools is optional
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Communicate and collaborate effectively in English. Excellent written and verbal communications skills are a must.
