SUMMARY
- ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a IT Manager position with ASM Global/Boeing Center at Tech Port. Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the IT Manager manages daily activities and the overall integrity and functionality of information systems throughout the facility.
- This position will be for someone who loves Information Technology but in a non-traditional setting. Come be a part of a team that is at the forefront of technology, education, and entertainment. You will have the opportunity to build a well-rounded department with room to grow. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are associated to a "start-up" of a new business. Examples are but not limited to; setting up SOP's, assist in creating vendor relationships, set-up a periodic maintenance schedule, along with tagging and maintaining inventory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitors company's websites and makes requested updates
- Installs, configures, updates, and troubleshoots users' PC workstations.
- Support multiple in-house LANs and their peripherals including all managed network switches, routers, networked cameras, and security firewalls.
- Maintains Linux and MS Windows servers.
- Installs and supports software applications that the company requires to effectively conduct everyday business.
- Maintain and support Point of Sale system during weekends and special events
- Maintain and support Ruckus Wireless Infrastructure
- Maintains staff email systems and handles onboarding offboarding of employees
- Maintains IP Phone system
- Develops procedures to improve existing systems.
- Maintains and supports technology aspects of Tech Port Gaming and Esports events.
- Supports LAN Center Manager in Gaming and Esports in the planning and facilitation of Esports/Gaming events
- Supports Production in the network side of broadcasts
- Supports Port San Antonio with any technological needs within the venue
- Prepares required annual budgets with assistance from the Director of Finance.
- Manage Ross System
- Manage Video Routing System
- Manage IPTV Systems and TVs/Menus Throughout the Building
- Manage Conference Systems
- Manage AD Rotations on External Video Boards
- Manage all event specific graphics for external screens & IPTV
- Manage security camera servers and recorders
- Manage Access Control System and Physical Keys
- Handle production video & audio backend as its all network based
- Manage and Maintain PCI Compliance
- Maintain Building BMS and HVAC Communication
- Manage Venue Distributed Audio System
- Manage Venue Licensed (ASCAP, BMI, CSAC) Music Players
- Manage WAN Connections for 3rd Parties within the venue
- Handle all 3rd party production video/fiber tie ins
- Maintain Gaming Center imaging server as well as their standard image, software install process & security protections
- Manage all staff wireless phones
- Manage venue network monitoring services
- Manage all staff software licenses including Microsoft, autocad, adobe, vectorworks, sage, deep freeze, tailscale, Vmix, etc...
- Manage venue wireless contract & compliance
- Manage warranty & support contracts for all production hardware
- Manage Finance Server and Access
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related engineering field or two-year related experience and/or training. A combination of education and training is most desirable.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must have Systems Administration experience
- independent individual with the ability to carry out tasks with minimal supervision and instruction.
- Experienced with Windows, Linux, and Mac Operating Systems Proficient with Visio and experience with technical documentation of an IT environment including network and server rack diagrams, subnet maps, and IP address management.
- Domains and workgroups skills including understanding of Group Policies, Network Shares, and User Profiles
- Experienced with Networked devices such as printers and storage.
- Basic coding skills required.
- Ability to understand computer network concepts such as TCP/IP, client/server model, 802.x
- Ability to use diagnostic tools such as traceroute, ping, and snooping.
- Also need basic knowledge of Java scripting, Powershell and html languages.
- Knowledge of Citrix, Ross, Tessera, Dashboard
- Knowledge of managed network peripherals including firewalls, access points, wireless backhauls, and routers desired with strong console and implementation skills
- Knowledge of VMWare virtualization environments including vSphere and vCenter strongly desired
- Experience with electronic testing equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes and network analyzers a plus.
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and solve problems on their own using resources such as forums and knowledgebase
- Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Eligible to work in United States.
CERTIFICATIONS
- CCNA, and MSSA not required but a plus.
- SQL experience not required but a plus
- Experience with multi-tier Point of Sale system such as Quest Venue, NCR, Micros, etc.
- Experience with database driven inventory management software
- Hands on skills with computer networking such as running, terminating, and testing Cat 5/6 cable, fiber, and installing Access Points
