Job Overview:

The Manager, Project Controls provides functional management of all project control activities within McDermott.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Provides input to project execution plan, baseline and control budgets on key projects.
  • Ensures a functional cost breakdown structure and work breakdown structure is implemented on all projects.
  • Conducts periodic reviews of forecast of major projects.
  • Ensures the change control process is executed on all projects.
  • Coordinates and reviews the plans and schedules for key (new or existing) projects.
  • Provides oversight of execution strategy changes on key projects.
  • Prepares/Reviews bids, checks estimates, change orders and cost-to-complete estimates for key projects.
  • Ensures Project Control deliverables are satisfied in manner that aligns with established guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Manages on-going staff development and training for Project Controls employees.


QUALIFICATIONS

Essential Qualifications and Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction or equivalent from accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Project Controls. Supervisory experience in leading project controls function working for an EPCI company

Preferred Qualifications and Education:
  • Working knowledge of Primavera
  • Solid knowledge of project controls
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Solid background in the oil and gas industry is required
