Job Details

Job title: Senior Engineer

Location: Spartanburg, SC.

Duration: 6 Months contract with a possibility of extension.

Work Type: 100% Onsite and Possible travel to Oshkosh, WI, less than 5%.

Requirement update:

Electrical candidate with Troubleshooting side.

Also consider filling this position with an electrical engineering background (BSEE) with experience in hands on electrical troubleshoot.

Job Description:

Under supervision, perform engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks as assigned according as well as general industry engineering standards and processes.

Support more senior engineers in the preparation of plans, designs, computation methods, and/or reporting.

Responsible for a project or part of a project of limited complexity.

May be responsible for managing multiple projects.

Collaborate as needed with other engineering or business support disciplines internally as well as suppliers externally.

Provide guidance or mentorship to entry level engineers, designers, or technicians working on a common project.

Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources concerning technical issues.

Enforce the proper use of engineering criteria and drawing standards. Ensure that technical issues are conducted within the framework of company policies and procedures.

Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability.

Perform and Directs preparation of layouts, drawings, specifications, and bills of material.

Perform engineering analysis to support the selection of parts, components, and materials that meet requirements.

Provide technical assistance for production support.

Analyze and resolve issues reported to Engineering via verbal or written communication.

Prepare technical proposals, quotations, reports, and presentations.

Create and maintain project documentation for analysis, research, and historical records.

Utilize analytical and mathematical approaches to calculate or model system performance and optimize designs.

Analyze and resolve issues reported to Engineering and communicate status via verbal or written communication.

Other duties as assigned.

Regular attendance is required.

Must Have (Preferred):

High Voltage BEV experience would be a plus but not required.

Automotive software programming/CAN network analysis is also a plus but not required.

CATIA experience is not 100% required for either a mechanical or electrical candidate. There will be no CAD design work with this position. Only need the ability to navigate CAD to aid in troubleshooting.

Mechanical knowledge of automotive or heavy-vehicle equipment and related systems.

Experience with a high-level CAD system.

Education:

Accredited bachelor s degree in engineering or related field with three (3) or more years of related experience.
