Job Description:

Thinking Minds Inc. is seeking a highly experienced SAP EWM Lead to join our client's growing manufacturing systems team. This is a key leadership role that blends solution design, project execution, and stakeholder engagement. You will be instrumental in building a long-term, scalable SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) solution tailored for a high-paced manufacturing and fulfillment environment.

In this role, you will own the EWM roadmap and work closely with enterprise architects, developers, and business stakeholders to define and execute system strategies. You'll lead full-cycle EWM implementations and drive ongoing enhancements, ensuring smooth inventory operations and alignment with factory floor needs.

This position will focus on defining EWM processes, supporting a multi-plant warehouse structure, and implementing radio frequency (RF)-enabled workflows. Your ability to integrate SAP EWM with other modules like PP, QM, and MM will be critical to the success of enterprise-wide initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Define, configure, and maintain the SAP EWM system architecture and strategy
  2. Lead end-to-end implementations and manage enhancement projects within EWM
  3. Support warehouse operations by resolving issues and managing production support tickets
  4. Design and test EWM-related developments including user exits, custom reports, and master data configurations
  5. Drive process improvements in physical inventory, slotting/rearrangement, put-away, and kitting operations
  6. Enable and optimize RF functionalities for mobile warehouse execution
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, QA, and production stakeholders
  8. Develop comprehensive functional specifications and training documentation
  9. Monitor KPIs and SLAs to ensure consistent system performance
  10. Support discrete manufacturing processes in a dynamic, multi-site environment

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on SAP EWM configuration experience
  • Experience with at least 2 full-cycle SAP EWM implementations
  • In-depth understanding of inventory management processes including HU, batch management, stock transfers, and quality inspections
  • Proficient in slotting, physical inventory, and dock/warehouse structure configuration
  • Integration experience with PP, QM, and MM modules
  • Excellent skills in user training, support, and stakeholder communication
  • Ability to author functional specifications and collaborate with development teams

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in IT, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Over 10 years' experience in SAP Warehouse projects within manufacturing environments
  • Working experience with ABAP/QuickViewer for query creation
  • Familiarity with ITAR or Aerospace/Defense regulated environments
  • Strong track record in driving adoption of new tools and warehouse technologies
