The Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Operating Unit (OU) is a newly formed team with a bold mission: to consolidate , simplify, and accelerate Microsoft's presence across the DIB landscape. This expansive network includes over 100,000 organizations specializing in manufacturing, aviation, cybersecurity, and more-all united in their support of all Federal Agencies, including the U.S. Department of Defense and other mission-based intelligence and civilian organizations.

The DIB OU will directly manage and accelerate strategic and major DIB accounts across MCAPS Americas, while also enabling growth across other OUs and SME&C. We're building new relationships, transforming legacy operations, and helping our customers modernize with confidence.

We are seeking a Cloud & AI Solution Engineer Developer . Responsibilities:

• Drive technical sales by using technical demos, proof s of concept, and technical architecture accelerator s to influence solution design and enable deployments.

• Lead architecture sessions and technical workshops to accelerate Azure adoption.

• Build trusted relationships with platforms leads to co- design secure, scalable solutions.

• Resolve technical blockers by collaborating with engineering and sharing customer insights.

• Maintain expertise in cloud migration (Windows, SQL, Linux, PostgreSQL, app workloads), resiliency, security, and compliance.

• Deepen knowledge of enterprise apps (SAP, Oracle) and Azure VMware Solution (AVS).

• Represent Microsoft in customer forums and technical communities through thought leadership.

Qualifications:

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 1+ year(s) technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 2+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR 3+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR equivalent experience
• Experience engaging enterprise development teams, including developers, architects, and technical decision makers.
• Hands-on expertise with GitHub, Visual Studio Code, CI/CD, DevOps, and platform engineering (e.g., observability, security, performance).
• Proficiency in modern languages like JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, C#, or Java, and frameworks such as .NET, Node.js, or React.

Other Requirements:

• Cloud Screening: Candidates must be able to successfully complete and pass a Microsoft Cloud background screening. Required Cloud Screenings will be administered on a recurring bi-annual basis.
• Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport, or other approved documents, or verified US government clearance.

• Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

Cloud and AI Solution Engineer IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
