Senior Software Engineer – Formworks

Catapult Solutions Group is supporting a client for this urgent opportunity

Position Overview

Location: Hybrid - 1-2 days onsite near Alpharetta, GA, Rancho Cordova, CA, or Oakland, CA
Duration: 6 Months+
Eligibility: US Citizens, Green Card holders, or Green Card EAD only
NO C2C

Role Summary

The Senior Software Engineer will enhance and support the Formworks application. This role involves designing, building, delivering and maintaining highly scalable functionality while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams of product managers, UX designers, architects, principal engineers, software engineers, test automation teams and DevOps engineers.

Required Skills

  • Optical Character Recognition (OCR) experience - FIS FormWorks, Mavro, OPEX, Impira, etc.
  • Experience in Azure AI Document Intelligence / Form Recognizer
  • Experience in training and developing custom AI models for document processing
  • Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD for AI model deployment
  • Knowledge of GHEC/GIT OPS and CI/CD for AI model deployment
  • Understanding of OCR, NLP, and document classification techniques
  • Proficiency in Azure API Management (APIM) and API integration

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent technical education and experience
  • Minimum 7 years of experience designing and developing high-performing and secure applications
  • Expertise in OCR editor configuration and batch support
  • Expertise in 834 EDI file format and processing
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices enabling sound technology choices and strategic decisions
  • Experience developing innovative approaches to detect, respond to, and eradicate tech debt and anti-patterns
  • Ability to research and apply innovative methodologies, latest industry trends, design patterns
  • Subject matter expert responsible for sharing expertise and insight with other engineers
  • Ability to identify significant internal and external stakeholders and build partnerships
  • Demonstrated mastery in area of expertise and recognized as an authority by peers and leaders
  • Experience evaluating options across software reliability, scalability, operational ease, and skillset availability
  • Mentoring and change management experience
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies
  • Ability to develop and maintain key vendor relationships
  • Continuous learning mindset and process improvement focus
