Location: Washington, DC AI Architect
Location: Reston, VA (Hybrid - onsite roughly once every 1-2 months)

We're seeking an experienced AI Domain Architect to help design and scale enterprise AI solutions in a modern AWS environment. You'll shape end-to-end architecture for AI/ML applications, guide data scientists and engineers through implementation, and ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of next-generation AI systems.

About the Role
We're seeking an experienced AI Domain Architect to help design and scale enterprise AI solutions in a modern AWS environment. You'll shape end-to-end architecture for AI/ML applications, guide data scientists and engineers through implementation, and ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of next-generation AI systems.
What You'll Do
- Design and define AI/ML solution architecture, including LLMs, vector databases, and prompt engineering strategies.
- Select and integrate the right AWS services (e.g., Bedrock, SageMaker, Kendra, Aurora, S3, Athena) for scalable AI workloads.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align solutions with enterprise standards.
- Stay ahead of Generative and Agentic AI trends and recommend practical applications.
- Serve as a hands-on technical leader - mentoring, influencing, and guiding project teams.
- 6+ years of architecture experience, ideally with AI/ML-driven solutions.
- 2-3+ years of experience designing or deploying solutions in AWS (Bedrock, SageMaker, or related).
- Strong background in data science or AI engineering before transitioning into architecture.
- Familiarity with vector databases (e.g., Aurora, Kendra, MongoDB) and prompt engineering concepts.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills - able to collaborate across teams and present complex solutions clearly.
- Experience in the healthcare domain (not required).
- Exposure to Generative AI or Agentic AI frameworks.
- AWS or Systems Architect certifications.
