Top Skills We're Looking For:

• 2+ years of low voltage experience
• Proficiency in terminating and testing cable
• Experience with fiber optics
• Experience in commercial construction
• Ability to perform closet build outs (IDF/MDF)

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Cable installation
• Understanding of color codes
• Familiarity with IDF/MDF environments
• Material management and client interaction
• BICSI certification

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
As a Communications Technician you will:

• Install work area outlets (CAT 3 & CAT 5 jacks), mount faceplates, and adhere to IES labeling standards
• Build closets: install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, and fiber hardware
• Terminate 110/66 blocks and patch panels; install grounding for racks and equipment
• Perform cable testing and troubleshooting (continuity, shorts, opens, tone set usage)
• Identify active voice/data circuits
• Lead crews, coordinate timelines, and train team members
• Complete all IES paperwork accurately and on time
• Follow all safety and quality standards

Tools You'll Use:

• Screwdrivers, drywall saw, torpedo level, tape measure, snips, pliers, hammer, cable stripper, flashlight, gloves
• Punch tools (110/66 block), tone set, crimp tools, Krone/3M/BIX tools

Work Environment:

• Indoor/outdoor settings
• Primary site: Data Center in Goodyear
• Additional sites: Phoenix metro area
• New construction environments with limited climate control
• Physical work: walking, hauling materials, working at heights (ladders/lifts), IDF room setups

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.99 - $22.99/hr.
