We are seeking a Systems Engineer II to work onsite in Windsor Locks, CT. This position reports to the Systems Integration Manager and is responsible for providing systems engineering support across assigned programs. It requires a skilled and productive professional who can operate independently with minimal supervision.
Experience in the development and integration of electronic systems such as FADEC or EEC, along with sensing hardware, is highly desirable; however, candidates with a background in fuel systems will also be considered.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

We are seeking a Systems Engineer II to work onsite in Windsor Locks, CT. What You Will Do
- Develop, manage, and allocate system-level requirements for engine control systems.
- Perform control system analyses to support requirements development and verification activities.
- Integrate engine control system components and subsystems, including Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC), electro-mechanical interface devices, sensors, actuators, heat exchangers, valves, fuel pumps, and fuel controls.
- Coordinate engine-level requirements and verification plans across multidisciplinary teams within Collins and with external customers.
- Analyze engine parameter data, support investigations using Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies and identify issues down to the component level for resolution by the responsible Integrated Project Team (IPT).
- Promote and advance the use of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies, such as Cameo Systems Modeler and Dymola to enhance system development and integration.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience in engine and/or aircraft system design.
- Strong communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Background in fuel and actuation system architecture, including expertise in component sizing (e.g., pumps and actuators).
- Familiarity with Collins Aerospace and Pratt & Whitney engineering tools, along with their design and qualification processes.
- Proficiency with tools such as DOORS, MATLAB, Dymola (or other physics-based modeling applications), and Cameo Systems Modeler (or other SysML platforms).
- Hands-on experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools.
- Experience in hardware integration.
- Expertise in system dynamics modeling, verification, and validation.
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred, or the ability to obtain one.
