Overview

We are seeking a full-time Antenna Engineer Intern for summer 2026 in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for exploring, designing and prototyping antennas for Garmin products or explorations (concepts for future products) under supervision of Management or Mentor.

Essential Functions
  • Design/develop antennas for consumer electronic devices, including simulations, prototyping and evaluation
  • Proficiently use one of the antenna simulation software (ex. XFDTD, CST, HFSS, etc.)

Basic Qualifications
  • Pursuing a Masters or Doctoral program in Electrical Engineering with focus on antennas & electromagnetics
  • Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
  • Familiar with use of lab bench (ex. multimeters, network analyzers, soldering iron, etc.)

Desired Qualifications
  • Published journal/conference article in the field of antennas and electromagnetics
  • Knowledge of wireless systems - GPS, cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth
