Job Details

Job Description:
  • RF Research Engineer
Responsibilities:
  • Develop RF schematics, layout, and work with vendors for DFM and manufacturing for research systems and devices.
  • Perform RF link budget analysis and RF issue debugging in the lab.
  • Perform simulation (RF circuit simulation and 3D EM Simulation), performance tuning/optimization and validation of RF conducted performance.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure RF performance are met at component, board and system level.
  • Work with antenna and test engineers to ensure the quality of the overall system.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3 plus years' experience in RF hardware design for consumer electronics.
  • At least BSEE in related engineering disciplines.
  • Experience with RF front-end and SoC Schematic, Layout Capture and Board Bring Up.
  • Work experience with RF lab equipment for device characterization, debug and component/system performance validation.
  • Experience with RF circuit and EM simulation software.
  • Effective communicator and team player.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MS or PhD in RF/Electromagnetics.
  • 5 plus years of industry experience.
  • Experience in Schematic Capture and PCB Layout using Cadence or Altium.
  • Experience in Wi-Fi/BT or Cellular RF module design, optimization and validation.
Education:
  • Bachelors (or higher), Electrical Engineering or related.
Top 3 must-have hard skills:
  • 3 plus years' experience in RF hardware design for consumer electronics.
  • At least BSEE in related engineering disciplines.
  • Experience with RF front-end and SoC Schematic, Layout Capture and Board Bring Up.
Good to have skills:
  • Work experience with RF lab equipment for device characterization, debug and component/system.

Note:

Pay Range: $ 80 / hr ++
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
