Description

As a Lead DevOps Engineer you'll have the chance to work with a team of engineers delivering medical device software to the cloud. This role focus on delivering an existing platform into a fully isolated environment. You will work with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Azure (Cloud), as well as automating Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancers, and other platform infrastructure. You will also contribute to our automation platform.

This position works out of our St Paul MN location in the ProdTech Medical Device Division.

Core Job responsibilities
As a DevOps Engineer in Product Technology you will work closely with the other teams inside Product Technology to deliver infrastructure supporting medical device software in the cloud. This will include consuming the existing terraform platform to build and deliver secured infrastructure for med device and other business unit partners.
In Product Technology we automate away manual tasks - as such we are on a journey to discover how to best serve our Business Partners with easy to use self service tools that eliminate complex manual workflows and help everyone make their deadlines. As an engineer on this team you will consume, support, and enhance these tools as part of the teams journey.

As a DevOps engineer you will
Collaborate with users in various departments to obtain and validate specifications and convert these to terraform code using the Prod Tech approved platforms and methods
Interact with platform, shared services, and business unit partners technical staff to make sure that the planned delivery matches specifications and that the specifications have been built correctly and successfully.
Partner with other Engineers in resolving problems with software products, company software systems or the terraform platform.
Apply enterprise security policies and standards when performing all delivery and operational duties.

Required Qualifications
Working knowledge of tools such as Git, GitHub, GitLab, Artifactory, Azure, Azure DevOps and other similar tooling
3-6 + years of terraform centric infrastructure delivery.
Experience with Terraform in Azure
Deep experience with Terraform, Azure, Windows and Linux
Terraform Module experience (both consumption and building of)
4+ years of Azure experience
Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance

Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of software Development experience
Experience with AI assisted development
Familiarity with system and security design principles of medical device back end software
B.S. in Computer Science or similar engineering discipline
Experience building and deploying services to Kubernetes
Azure SDK/API experience (we use it a ton)
Familiarity with basic design pattens in Dotnet (Factory, Strategy etc)
Nice plus: groovy
