IT Project Manager PMO

TechTu is looking for a Project Manager for one of our public sector clients located in Oakland, CA (Job Description listed below).

Job Description

Project Manager shall provide the Services and Deliverable(s) as follows:

• Manage multiple Projects, monitoring project tasks, budget, provide weekly status updates to key stakeholders
• Provide planning and Project/Program support in key application areas to improve & the IT asset management lifecycle on behalf of the Project Portfolio Management Office
• Perform audit work on areas within the IT portfolio and provide documentation and work plans to support the PMO office.
• Provide expertise in IT asset Management using best practices to manage services processes and resources to meet IT needs
• Assist PMO, to develop business operations plan & Functional areas improvements.
• Managing software ranging from enterprise-critical to high volume transactional applications using various high valued technologies.
• Assist in creating frameworks & also lead special projects that fall into PMO ownership

What we are looking for

• Proven experience managing multiple projects and a deep understanding of Project Management practices
• Ideal candidates have a strong tech background as well as communication and problem-solving skills, and expertise in Agile Scrum methodology
• Experience running cadences involving Project Managers and Business Stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Applications primarily MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Previous exposure to Portfolio Management Practices is a bonus
• PMP Certification is Preferred.
• Minimum Bachelor's Degree
