Reporting to a Lead Developer / Systems Engineer, the Lead Test Engineer will lead, plan and participate in qualification and acceptance testing activities of high complexity related to hardware and software components of SWIFT networks ensuring product quality, in line with testing standards/procedures, under guidance of management, and within operating plan and allocated budget. The Lead Test Engineer will also act as a technical lead on qualification projects. Lead and control the development of test specifications / test cases / sets of regression tests, for new networking hardware / new and enhanced software release of applications in an accurate and timely manner. Ensure that test schedules and procedures are followed according to plan and that set deadlines for testing completion are met. Organize and control requirements/design reviews of new products with all parties concerned, ensure testability and become acquainted with new products. Ensure homogeneity in testing processes and propose process improvements for testing activities. Ensure that all captured / reported problems are identified and that solutions are proposed and prepare reports on activities of testing team. Promote the use of improved test automation tools within the team. Guide and motivate team members, define priorities and objectives, follow up progress and achievements. May organize and coordinate the pilot testing of software in customers' environment. Provide input for budget allocation, including manpower projections. Design test plans for multiple-phase projects of high complexity. Write and execute test cases of multiple-phase projects, analyze and log results. Deploy test scripts in cloud environments. In addition to working in Manassas, VA office, work might also be performed at company's office in Culpeper, Virginia. May also work from home in accordance with company policy (presently two days per week)

Minimum required:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or closely related
- 7 years progressive experience in software development or software testing. Seven years of experience in software testing / development must have included: Java, SDK, Microgateway, Web application technology, HTML, CSS, Javascript, web services, Unix
- operating system, shell scripting languages, and Scrum methodology.
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in leadership and/or people management; 5 years of manual and automation test experience and with managing multiple test environments
- (development, regression, production, etc.) and with the following: Web application containers such as Tomcat servers, API Gateway technology such as APIGEE, testing APIs using
- Postman, RestAssured, Soap UI; Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins; Selenium and Robot Framework.
- Must have 3 years of experience with payment products or payment software
