Job Description
We are seeking a Data Flow & Architecture Documentation Analyst with strong expertise in data sourcing documentation, data flow visualization, and executive presentation skills. This role requires someone with exceptional attention to detail, storytelling ability, and documentation expertise rather than deep technical or senior architecture experience.
The ideal candidate will excel at translating conceptual design discussions into clear documentation and diagrams that drive understanding across technical and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Translate conceptual data architecture discussions into clear, detailed diagrams and documents.
Create end-to-end data flow diagrams, process maps, S2T mapping templates, gap logs, and traceability documents.
Develop audit-ready documentation of validation rules, transformation controls, and governance frameworks.
Produce executive-level PowerPoint presentations with strong visual storytelling.
Work closely with product leads, architects, and engineers to gather inputs and iterate documentation.
Support documentation of metadata, table structures, and data hops across platforms.
Create interactive data flow/architecture diagrams (HTML, JavaScript, D3.js a plus).
Required Skills & Experience:
6+ years in data sourcing, data architecture, business analysis, or solution design (financial services/data-heavy domains preferred).
Strong background in data sourcing documentation and architectural translation.
Proficiency in diagramming tools: Gliffy, MS Visio, PowerPoint.
Strong SQL skills and comfort with data platforms (BigQuery, Cornerstone, or similar EDWs).
Familiarity with enterprise data pipelines and structured design documentation.
Excellent attention to detail, visual storytelling, and executive presentation creation.
Strong collaboration and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Nice to Have:
Experience with regulatory reporting environments (Y-9C, 2052a, Basel).
Exposure to governance documentation practices in financial services.
