Job Title: Cybersecurity Training Lead

Location: Springfield, VA (Hybrid)

Clearance: Secret

Duration: 3years

Key Skills:

Requires strong communication skills, project management and (10+ years) significant amount of experience developing and leading large cybersecurity training programs for government agencies, Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, threats, and best practices

Familiarity with NIST frameworks (e.g., RMF, NICE, AI RMF), DHS 4300 policies, and federal cybersecurity mandates.

Certifications: PMP, CISSP, CompTIA CTT+ (Certified Technical Trainer), Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP), Certified Instructional Designer/Developer (CIDD), Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP)

Leads all project planning, content development, instructional design, training tool support, status and problem reporting, and administrative support. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of cybersecurity training initiatives across the Enterprise and MGMT-HQ environments. Lead the development and execution of the Cybersecurity Awareness and Training schedule, ensuring alignment with DHS objectives and compliance requirements. Manage the creation and maintenance of the DHS Cybersecurity Awareness and Training Program Plan and spearhead the design and delivery of enterprise-wide cybersecurity awareness training. Lead the production of monthly cybersecurity awareness articles for DHS-wide distribution to promote a culture of security. Ensure all mandatory training requirements are fulfilled and that system access requests are properly submitted and tracked. Collect, formalize, and report on monthly cybersecurity awareness metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and inform continuous improvement efforts.

Program Management & Coordination

  • Plan, schedule, and manage Cybersecurity Training Working Groups and IPTs.
  • Coordinate with SMEs and stakeholders for content development and training delivery.
  • Support the DHS IT Academy and IT Immersion Program through curriculum design and planning.
  • Assist with planning and execution of Social Engineering exercises and expand the HQ Social Engineering Program.
