Job Duties
Design, implement, and support enterprise-wide server infrastructure, including physical and virtual environments
Manage and optimize operating systems and related applications
Configure and maintain network infrastructure components and services
Implement and maintain data backup, recovery, and business continuity solutions
Troubleshoot complex system and network issues to maintain high availability
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement security controls and address vulnerabilities
Create and maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, and technical specifications
Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency and capabilities
Support the migration of appropriate workloads to cloud-based platforms
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in systems administration or engineering roles
Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
Working knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and infrastructure
Experience with backup and recovery solutions
Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Additional Considerations
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent experience
Master's degree in related technical field
Professional certifications (Microsoft, VMware, CompTIA, AWS, Azure)
Experience working in government or public sector environments
Knowledge of cloud technologies and migration strategies
Experience with monitoring solutions and performance optimization
