Job Details

We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Database Administrator/Database Developer to manage and maintain a range of database technologies, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and Oracle SQL. This role involves supporting large-scale database environments, both on-premise and in the cloud (Azure & Oracle Cloud). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database migrations, performance tuning, and cloud PaaS implementations, with the ability to work in Tier-1, high-visibility production environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and Oracle SQL databases.

  • Create, configure, and optimize databases for performance and scalability in cloud and on-premise environments.

  • Ensure zero-downtime changes and proper backup/recovery strategies for critical databases.

  • Migrate databases across cloud providers and database engines (e.g., Oracle to PostgreSQL).

  • Collaborate with development teams to guide query optimization, indexing, and stored procedure development.

  • Optimize and refactor complex stored procedures.

  • Provide on-call production support for database environments.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of database administration experience.

  • Strong expertise with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Oracle SQL.

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud PaaS/IaaS solutions.

  • Proficient in cloud-to-cloud and engine-to-engine database migrations.

  • Experience with large datasets, partitioning strategies, and database optimization.

  • Familiarity with backup/recovery strategies and DR planning.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in high-pressure environments.
