RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Waltham, MA that is seeking a Customer/1 C1 Billing Tester with hands-on experience in the Energy and Utilities industry. This role will work closely with functional and technical teams to ensure system accuracy, data integrity, and end-to-end testing coverage for billing-related initiatives.
Key Tasks:
* Execute functional, regression, and integration testing for Customer/1 MF billing modules
* Validate billing logic, rate plans, discounts, taxes, and invoice generation
* Analyze billing outputs and reconcile discrepancies across upstream/downstream systems
* Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and billing operations to clarify requirements and resolve defects
* Document test cases, results, and defects using tools like JIRA, ALM, or similar
* Support UAT and production validation cycles, including bill runs and audit checks
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and financial standards in billing outputs
* Participate in release planning and provide test effort estimates
REQUIREMENTS:
* 3-6 years of testing experience, with at least 2+ years focused on Customer/1 (C1)
* The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of billing processes, rate structures, and meter-to-cash operations within the C/1 ecosystem
* Strong background in Energy and Utilities operations (meter-to-cash, billing, rates, or payments)
* Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
* Solid understanding of testing methodologies, defect tracking, and quality assurance best practices
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have:
* Experience with automation testing tools
* Familiarity with CIS implementations or migrations
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
