Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled MQ Developer with hands-on experience in IBM MQ, Message Broker/IIB/ACE, and integration middleware technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining reliable messaging solutions that support mission-critical enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, configure, and maintain IBM MQ middleware infrastructure and solutions.
  • Develop and manage message flows using IBM Integration Bus (IIB), App Connect Enterprise (ACE), or Message Broker.
  • Create and manage MQ objects (queues, topics, channels, listeners, etc.).
  • Implement secure messaging practices including SSL/TLS configurations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve messaging issues across test, staging, and production environments.
  • Work with development and infrastructure teams to build scalable messaging solutions.
  • Support MQ upgrades, patches, and capacity planning.
  • Document MQ topology, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation for production support (if required).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience with IBM MQ (v8 or higher) in enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience with IBM Integration Bus (IIB), ACE, or WebSphere Message Broker.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Shell, Bash, or Python for automation.
  • Knowledge of message formats (XML, JSON), WSDL, and REST/SOAP web services.
  • Experience working in distributed environments (Linux/Unix/Windows).
  • Understanding of high availability, clustering, and disaster recovery for MQ.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Tivoli, Splunk, AppDynamics, or custom scripts.
  • Experience in financial/banking/healthcare domain a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud-based messaging services (e.g., AWS MQ, Azure Service Bus).
  • Familiarity with Kafka or other event-streaming platforms.
  • Experience in DevOps CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Ansible) for middleware deployments.
  • Certifications in IBM MQ or Integration technologies is a plus.
