Alation Engineer
6+ months Contract
Overview:
This hands-on engineering role supports the same DG program, with a focus on Alation (and possibly Microsoft Purview) for data cataloging and stakeholder enablement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-on configuration of Alation (and Purview) to unlock value
- Partner with business units to identify catalog use cases and pilot projects
- Create data classifications, enable lineage, and set up remediation workflows
- Guide business users who are unfamiliar with data cataloging concepts
- Communicate the art of the possible with data catalogs to stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for AI-enabled automation to reduce manual classification and tagging
Must Have:
- Hands-on experience configuring Alation and/or Purview
- Ability to bridge technical execution and business engagement
