As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will collaborate across teams to design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes for assemblies, equipment installation, fabrication, and material handling. Description: About the Role
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will collaborate across teams to design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes for assemblies, equipment installation, fabrication, and material handling. You will drive adoption of advanced technologies such as automation, robotics, and computer-aided manufacturing to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and optimize production layouts and workflows.
- Create and analyze 3D model-based environments for digital work instructions.
- Define operational procedures and build sequences leveraging material and automated process knowledge.
- Evaluate equipment performance (including IoT-enabled devices) and implement corrective actions.
- Use factory data to develop statistical process control and integrate reporting/analytics for continuous improvement.
- Provide input to product design to ensure manufacturability and efficient use of equipment.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Experience:
- 4+ years as a Manufacturing Engineer.
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes such as fabrication, assembly, machining, and electrical work across composites, metallics, bonded assemblies, and installations.
- Previous experience with lean manufacturing and process improvement.
- Experience with MRP systems (SAP or MES).
- Technical Skills:
- CATIA V5 proficiency.
- Structural assembly knowledge.
- Aerospace or aviation industry experience.
- Exposure to "first-time build" product development.
- Familiarity with composites and advanced materials.
