Description
We are looking for an experienced Web Content Manager to join our team on a long-term contract basis. Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, this role focuses on creating and managing engaging web content while ensuring consistent branding and functionality across WordPress websites. This is a flexible, part-time opportunity requiring approximately 10-20 hours per week, with the potential for fluctuating schedules based on project needs.
Responsibilities:
Update and maintain WordPress websites, including performing core updates, plugin installations, and theme adjustments.
Design and customize page templates using Divi and other WordPress themes to meet project requirements.
Format and upload content, ensuring it aligns with established brand guidelines and is optimized for user engagement.
Troubleshoot front-end issues such as browser compatibility and site errors following updates or changes.
Implement basic site maintenance and security measures while monitoring for potential vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with team members to ensure web content aligns with overall campaign goals and strategies.
Utilize tools like Adobe Creative Cloud and Photoshop to enhance visual elements and improve site aesthetics.
Apply best practices in content management and blogging to drive brand awareness and audience engagement.
Assist in server-related troubleshooting, including backups and sysadmin tasks to ensure website reliability.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in WordPress front-end development.
Advanced knowledge of WordPress themes, plugins, and CMS platforms, including expertise in Divi.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, Photoshop, and tools like Atlassian Jira.
Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for layout consistency and branding.
Knowledge of content management best practices and blogging strategies.
Experience with site security measures and troubleshooting server-related issues.
Ability to work independently and adapt to fluctuating project schedules.
