Scrum Master / PM Data Platform & Databricks - Remote
We are looking to hire a candidate with the skills sets mentioned and experience for one of our clients within the pharmaceutical Industry. This is a REMOTE position.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Scrum Master/Project Manager with strong experience in the data domain to lead Agile delivery and project oversight across data engineering and cloud-based initiatives. This role requires hands-on familiarity with DataBricks, AWS data services, and enterprise data strategy/management. The ideal candidate will manage teams working within the Databricks environment, drive end-to-end project execution, support data engineering workflows, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Establish and manage project plans, timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables across data initiatives.
Collaborate closely with data engineers, architects, analysts, and business stakeholders.
Oversee development workflows within the Databricks environment and ensure adherence to data engineering best practices.
Facilitate cross-functional communication and resolve blockers to maintain project momentum.
Drive standardization and governance across data processes, documentation, and quality checks.
Coordinate releases, manage sprint metrics, and report project status to leadership.
Support data strategy execution and assist teams in aligning architecture and solutions with long-term objectives.
Manage team capacity, priorities, and work assignments within data-focused projects.
Required Experience:
- 7+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Project Manager within the data or cloud domain.
- Strong experience supporting data engineering, data analytics, or data platform teams.
- Hands-on experience with DataBricks workflows and pipeline management.
- Solid understanding of AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR, Redshift, or related data components.
- Experience managing teams working within a Databricks environment.
- Strong understanding of data strategy, data management, ETL processes, and cloud-based data architectures.
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders, run Agile processes, and deliver complex technical projects.
- Certifications such as CSM, PMP, PMI-ACP, or cloud/data certifications are a plus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

- Location: Remote
- Duration: 6 months Minimum. High possibility of extension.
- Pay Rate: $55/hr. W2 OR $65/hr. C2C.
