Description
SAIC is seeking a Systems Administrator Support to assist in the installation, implementation, and upgrades of internal systems in Middletown, Rhode Island. This position is Hybrid.
The Systems Administrator Support will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Builds, configures and deploys hardened Operating Systems.
- Configures and hardens Networking equipment.
- Documentation and maintenance of systems and physical hardware configuration.
- May maintain a tracking system for usage evaluation.
- Maintains an inventory of all equipment, hardware, software and supplies.
- Troubleshoots, maintains, and monitors, external and internal hard drives, printers, plotters and scanners.
- Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, monitoring and tuning system performance, installing system wide software, validating and implementing critical system patches, allocating mass storage space and allocating virtual machines.
- Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- High School and two (2) years' experience
Required Clearance:
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance; ship required.
Required Skills:
- Experience with System Hardening and Configuration Management
- Proficient in Troubleshooting and Maintenance of IT Infrastructure
- Experience with Systems Administration and Documentation
