Device Research & Early Development Engineer Co-Op
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role are to:
- Develop test fixtures to be used for characterize of medical devices;
- Develop test methods and protocols to be used for evaluation of medical devices;
- Setup and execute experimental tests in a laboratory setting to provide data indicating the performance of medical devices;
- Contribute to the development of data analysis tools to improve the efficiency of evaluating experimental results;
- Prepare of formal test reports to provide a record of testing activities and results;
- Prepare and present findings to cross functional program teams;
- Contribute to deliverables of support fielded products and required documentation for products under development.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in Bioengineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field;
- Knowledge and application of engineering and scientific concepts;
- Ability to apply technology, engineering concepts and methodologies to develop solutions;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to work independent as wellas in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data analysis in Python;
- Experience with development of automated test tools;
- Previous lab or medical device experience;
- Experience or exposure to hardware design or rapidprototyping.
